Athletic Training Center
Wayland's athletic programs have brought home several national championships over the last few years.
The Athletic Training Center is a 10,000 square-foot facility with state-of-the-art strength and conditioning equipment, sprint track, and locker rooms. We've received a little more than $500,000 toward our $2.5 million goal.

The Flying Queens
This last year, the Flying Queens basketball program was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The teams from 1948-1982 were honored for their on the strength of its history, impact on the game and its continued success over a long period of time.
“I was speechless when I first learned the Flying Queens had been selected for the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. There were a few tears of pure joy and gratitude as I thought of all the pleasure that this announcement brings to so many Flying Queens, the Hutcherson family, our coaches – especially my coach Harley Redin – their families and friends.
Track & Field
In the 55 years that Wayland has competed in Track and Field, the program has amassed 332 individual national titles, 20 team titles, 302 all-American athletes and 1,484 all-American honors. In addition, three athletes have been named to the NAIA Hall of Fame, 24 awarded scholar-athletes and nine have become Olympians.
Wayland gives athletes the opportunity to be successful. The track program has high expectations and the coaches encourage you to be your best at all times. All of the track team's success has set a high standard. Being the NAIA National Champions is the norm for us. All of Wayland's athletic programs accomplish a lot with limited resources. A better facility will only promote better performances.
