Upgrade our
Lab Facilities
Our undergraduate majors are not your typical undergrads. Many perform graduate-level research and compete at state and national events. The School of Math & Sciences needs an equally amazing space.

We have already received $2.5 million in commitments. Achieving this goal will take the School of Math & Sciences to the next level.

I came to Wayland because of the science department. I was impressed with the biology department and the students that came out of that program. The grad schools that I have applied to have told me that they don't expect the experience I have from undergrads. I'm thankful for the opportunities I've received at Wayland.

Wayland gives athletes the opportunity to be successful. The track program has high expectations and the coaches encourage you to be your best at all times. All of the track team's success has set a high standard. Being the NAIA National Champions is the norm for us. All of Wayland's athletic programs accomplish a lot with limited resources. A better facility will only promote better performances.

Restore
Gates Hall
Gates Hall was completed in 1911, and was named after Wayland's first president, Dr. Isaac E. Gates.

100 years have take a toll on this beautiful building. Restorations to the exterior will allow Gates Hall to continue to be a hub for Wayland life.
Through the Years
Gates Hall origninally served as a combination of classrooms, dining hall, administration and dormitory for the 208 students originally enrolled in this newly founded college.

Through the years, all Wayland students --traditional, non-traditional, concurrent and external students -- have benefitted from the work that goes on in these hallowed halls of education.

Gates Hall serves as a symbol for our university's mission, a reminder of our tenacity and a vision for our future.
Dr. Bobby Hall
What began as the vision of a pioneer doctor and his wife to provide a quality Christian education to their family and their community, grew into one of the largest Baptist institutions in the nation. As we look back over the past 109 years, we are humbled to see how God has used this great institution to serve more than 53,000 students. We believe this endeavor to renovate Gates Hall will honor those great pioneers who sought to bring Christian education to the high plains.

I want to be a missionary when I graduate. The scholarships I received are helping me get that much closer to my dream. Without the support of donors I wouldn't be able to go to college, much less study something I am passionate about.

Develop a New Program
Developed by Wayland's School of Business, NexGen Spark is a program designed to give entrepreneurs valuable resources and students valuable experience.
By participating in NexGen Spark, students of all majors will get hands-on experience, hear from notable speakers and see the process of starting a business.

Throughout the program, teams of students will work to help local entrepreneurs develop a business plan and put it into action. At the end of the semester, those teams will present to a panel of judges, and one team will win a cash prize.

There are many good ideas, but none of them are worth much unless someone else thinks it’s a good idea. The NexGen Spark program can help you develop that good idea into a marketable one.
